Megan Brockbank was named assistant coach of the UMass Lowell Women's Lacrosse team in July of 2025. Brockbank, who totals the second-most points in program history, returns to Lowell after spending last season as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland.
During her one year at SUNY Cortland, Brockbank took on a plethora of responsibilities both on and off the field. As an assistant coach, she worked closely with the head coach to strategize how to win games while also designing and implementing team workouts and schedules. Brockbank worked on assisting coaches in the scouting, evaluation, and selection of new players at recruitment tournaments to determine a fit for SUNY Cortland.
Not only has she served as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland, but Brockbank has also filled the role of offensive and goalie coach at Legacy Lacrosse since the summer of 2022. While there, she helped players work on building team culture, encouraging collaboration, and strengthening relationships between teammates. When traveling for away tournaments, she was also responsible for player supervision and safety off the field.
During her four-year playing career as a River Hawk, Brockbank proved to be one of the best playmakers in program history, totaling 137 points and 62 assists, both ranking second all-time by a River Hawk. Starting in 39 of her 59 appearances, the New York native also collected 46 ground balls and forced 20 turnovers. Â
Brockbank graduated from UMass Lowell with her bachelor's in elementary (1-6) and moderate disabilities education (K-8) in 2024.
