Elly Theriault is in her first year at UMass Lowell in 2022-23. She previously worked for five years as a Program Coordinator for a youth athletics center in Salisbury, MA. In this position, she played a significant role in the operations of a tournament fast-pitch league, Rage Softball, and an NFL flag football league, Seacoast Youth Flag Football. Prior to this, she worked as a Social Work Assistant for the Pettengill House, Inc. in Amesbury, MA. In this role she assisted with comprehensive case management and acted as a liaison with local schools to support students in need.
Theriault earned a bachelor of arts in human development with a concentration in school and society from Merrimack College and a master of science in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University.
Theriault is understanding of the unique demands collegiate athletes face and is passionate about providing support and resources to assist them in reaching their academic and athletic goals. She cares deeply about the “whole” student-athlete and how physical, psychological, and social well-being can intertwine and play a role in their academic and athletic performance. She leads conversations with her students using this mindful approach. She currently works with the cross country/track & field programs and women’s lacrosse.
