UMass Lowell Athletics

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018): Given played in 24 matches and 66 sets during the 2018 season. She reached a career-high of 23 digs and 73 kills. Her season-high of 15 kills vs. Farleigh Dickinson on Sept. 1 also earns her a career-high in kills in a single match. She notched seven matches with 5 or more kills in her sophomore campaign.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017): Given played in 12 matches and 28 sets as a freshman with 42 kills, 15 total blocks and 13 digs. She amassed a career-high 10 kills and a career-high five total blocks against Binghamton on October 28th at Costello Athletic Center. She posted three multi-block efforts in her freshman season and notched five matches with four or more kills. 

BEFORE UMASS LOWELL: Was a four-year starter at Olympia High School. Was All-Conference First-Team in her senior season and All-Conference Second-Team in her junior year. Won District Championships with Olympia in three of four seasons. Played club volleyball for OTVA and head coach Tom Snodgrass. Given is a member of the National Honor Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude. 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Louise and Mark Given. Has a sister Whitney and brother Robert. Enjoys shopping, going to the beach, listening to music and spending time with friends and family when she isn't playing volleyball. Favorite TV Show is Law & Order: SVU. Her favorite sports figures are Bethany Hamilton and Jordan Larson. She lists her greatest sports moment as being three-time district champions, winning 3/4 qualifiers one club season, beating high school rivals, playing on television, and traveling. Given would like to coach volleyball after college.
