Chris O[apos]Donnell began his tenure as the Director of Athletic Media Relations in the fall of 1999. O[apos]Donnell oversees all of UML[apos]s 14 Division II sports.
O[apos]Donnell has coordinated several NCAA tournaments, as UML has hosted the NCAA Division II Men[apos]s Basketball Northeast Regional and Division II Baseball Northeast Regional in 2002-03, and the Division II Field Hockey National Championship in
2003 and 2004.
Prior to joining the River Hawks, O[apos]Donnell served as the sports information director at Northeast-10 rival Franklin Pierce College. While at FPC, O[apos]Donnell worked closely with 20 men[apos]s and womens athletic programs, hosting several NCAA events, including the 1995 NCAA Division II Women[apos]s Soccer National
Championship.
O[apos]Donnell served as an assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) for one year. He also volunteered at Siena, and was a sports writer for The Saratogian in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Originally from Clifton Park, NY, O[apos]Donnell graduated in 1991 from Oneonta State with a B.S. in Speech Communication.
He along with his wife, Carrie, and their two sons, Christopher, 6, and Brady, 5, reside in Newburyport, Mass.
