Biography

AS A SENIOR: Tabbed to the NFHCA National All-Academic Squad for the fourth consecutive year • Started all 24 games for the River Hawks, finishing the year with 10 goals and an assist for 21 points • Completed career ranked 25th on the program[apos]s all-time scoring list with 53 points (23g, 7a) • Enjoyed a hat trick in a 10-0 win over Saint Michael[apos]s on Sept. 29. AS A JUNIOR: Named to the NFHCA All-Academic Squad • Saw action in all 24 games, starting two • Tallied eight goals on the year, ranked fourth on the team • Added an assist for 17 points overall • Scored twice in the River Hawks[apos] 4-2 victory over American International on Sept. 12. AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad • Appeared in 18 games, tallying three goals and four assists for ten points on the year • Notched two goals in a 9-0 win over Merrimack on Sept. 13 at home. AS A FRESHMAN: Named to the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad • Named one of the NE-10 Commissioner[apos]s Gold Scholars • Played in 17 games • Tallied five points on a pair of goals and an assist on the year. ARLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL: Played field hockey at Arlington High School for Coach OSullivan • Was named a two-time Greater Boston League All-Star for both field hockey and ice hockey • Named Field Hockey Player of the Year in 2006 and captained the squad her senior year • [quote]Best of 60[quote] selection in 2006 • Also played softball for AHS • Member of the National Honor Society • Received Academic Achievement Awards in Spanish, Science, English, History and Physical Education • Recipient of the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for Academic Achievement. PERSONAL: One of four children born to Mikell and Arthur Ales of Arlington, Mass • Favorite teams include the Boston Bruins and Red Sox as well as the New England Patriots • Lists Mia Hamm as her favorite professional athlete • Is a nursing major.
