Alexa Guarneri Tabbed America East Offensive Player of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – UMass Lowell field hockey sophomore forward Alexa Guarneri (Hockkessin, Del.) was tabbed America East Offensive Player of the Week for her performance in a pair of wins, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Guarneri turned in an eight-point week off four goals in a 2-0 week for the River Hawks. She logged her first career hat trick against New Haven on September 11 to help propel her squad to an 8-0 victory before putting in an insurance goal in the final minutes of a 3-0 win against Merrimack on Sept. 13.

This marks Guarneri's first ever weekly award. She is currently in the midst of a three-game scoring streak. So far in 2026, she totals a conference-leading five goals and 10 points.

Guarneri and the River Hawks will return to action on Friday, Sept. 18 when they take on No. 12 Syracuse.
