River Hawks Add 11 Newcomers Ahead of 2026 Season

LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Lisa Miller has announced the addition of 11 newcomers to her squad ahead of the 2026 campaign.

"This class provides us depth," said Miller. "Depth in the midfield so we can now go two, three lines deep. We're a lot faster than we have been in years past, and we can come at you in waves. Now we'll be able to give others a break, that way we'll be fresh down the stretch at the end of a game, which I think is huge. I think some freshmen will come in and contribute right away, as will the transfers, but more than that, they're going to come in and help keep us healthy."

The incoming class features two transfers, junior attack Emily Dodd (Calgary, Alberta) and junior defender Reese Widrick (Adams, N.Y.), alongside freshmen attackers Ava Howell (Wellington, Fla.) and Leah Verespy (Perkasie, Pa.); midfielders Ada Krupa (East Irondequoit, N.Y.), KJ McMullen (Puyallup, Wash.), Lily Morrison (Adams, N.Y.), Tatum Andrews (Harleysville, Pa.), Elise Mahlum (Portland, Ore.) and Brienne Brezynskie (Elmira, Ontario), and goaltender Lauren Lorentzen (Carlsbad, Calif.).
