LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell field hockey team's recognition of its 50
th anniversary season be highlighted by an Alumni Day celebration on Sunday, September 21.
"We are excited to welcome back alumni from the past five decades to celebrate the foundation and core values of our program that were set 50 years ago," said Head Coach
Shannon LeBlanc. "For 50 years, UMass Lowell field hockey has been more than just a team – it's been a family. Across decades of friendships, unforgettable wins, heartbreaking losses, this program has helped to shape champions not just on the field, but in life."
The event will honor five decades of UMass Lowell field hockey. Attendees will first gather to cheer on the current River Hawks, as they take on the Kent State Golden Flashes in a 12 p.m. matchup. Following the game, all will be welcome to attend a post-game reception with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at River Hawk Central inside of the Kennedy Family Athletic Complex, formerly Costello Athletic Center.
"Our celebration on September 21
st will celebrate the legacy that so many women have imprinted on our program and we are looking forward to sharing lots of memories," concluded LeBlanc.
