FAIRFAX, Va. – The UMass Lowell men's track and field team returned to Goerge Mason Stadium for day two of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday.

"We competed well all weekend," said Head Coach Gary Gardner. "Great to see many of our young athletes compete away from New England and do well."

Graduate student Brandon Williams (Severn, Md.) got it started in a big way, winning the triple jump with a 14.08m mark. The discus followed that up, and it was senior Ian Camerato (Mount Laurel, N.J.) that led the way with a sixth-place performance and personal-best 45.26m mark, before senior Luke Stelmach (Sterling, Mass.) took 25th place with a toss of 34.04m.

"The throwers had a good weekend," said Gardner. "Ian making finals was excellent."

In the high jump, freshman Camren Allain (Carver, Mass.) and sophomore Shane Exilhomme (Orlando, Fla.) finished consecutively in fifth and sixth place, each clearing 1.95m. Stelmach also competed in the event, earning a 1.90m mark for 10th place.

Junior Mukanya Kazadi (Woburn, Mass.) claimed ninth place in the shot put to lead the River Hawks with a 13.80m mark, before Camerato tossed 12.85m for 13th place. The javelin closed out the field events, as freshman Miles Acchione (Mount Laurel, N.J.) finished 11th with a 45.47m mark as the lone River Hawk.

Sophomore Anthony Massari (Dumont, N.J.) finished in 13th place with a time of 49.20, while junior Brett Earle (Baldwinville, Mass.) crossed in 50.31 for 23rd place.
