LOWELL, Mass. – After earning a 13-5 win in the season opener, the UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (1-0) takes a quick trip to Andover to battle the Merrimack Warriors (0-0) on Wednesday, February 12, before making their home debut on Saturday, February 15, against LIU (0-1).

Jade Catlin (Middletown, Md.) tallied a team-high five points, as the UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (1-0) took down the Manhattan Jaspers (0-1), 13-5, in the 2025 season opener. LEADING THE FLOCK

AMERICA EAST HONORS
After setting the program's career goals record with an impressive four-goal performance in the season opener win, Catlin was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week in Week One.
SCOUTING MERRIMACK
Wednesday marks the first game of the season for the Warriors, though they return their top offensive player and goalkeeper from the season prior. In 2024, Lindsay Atkinson had a strong freshman campaign, leading her squad with 31 goals and 15 assists for 46 points. In net for Merrimack, Hayley Kowalczyk started in 14 of her 15 appearances, posting 133 saves while allowing 146 goals, good for a .477 save percentage and a 3-10 record.
SCOUTING LIU
The Sharks enter Saturday's matchup coming off an 11-6 loss in their season opener to Hofstra. In that game, Julia Trainor paced her team with three goals on ten shots while also recording a team-best three draw controls. Behind her, Erin Harkins tallied two goals, while four members recorded a point. In net, Mylie Norton allowed 11 goals while making 10 saves in 60 minutes of action.
MATCHUP HISTORY
Wednesday marks the fifth time the River Hawks and Warriors have battled, with UMass Lowell owning a 4-0 record in the all-time series. When the team's faced last year at Cushing Field, the River Hawks took home an 18-9 victory. Meanwhile, LIU and UMass Lowell faced each other for the first time last year, with the River Hawks taking home a 14-10 victory.
