River Hawks Announce 2026 Schedule

11/25/2025 11:13:00 AM

LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell women's lacrosse Head Coach Lisa Miller has announced her team's 16-game schedule for the 2026 season.

"As always, we try to design a schedule that provides a reasonable competitive experience for our student-athletes and prepares us for the competitive parity that is the America East," said Miller. "We think this schedule fits those needs, and we are looking forward to an exciting 2026."

For the first time in four seasons, the River Hawks will open the season at home when they take on Manhattan on Saturday, February 7. The homestand continues as the team will welcome Merrimack (Feb. 11) to town before hosting national quarterfinalists Yale (Feb. 14). The squad then hits the road for the first time when they visit Temple (Feb. 21), followed by home games against Massachusetts (Feb. 25) and Sienna (Feb. 28) to wrap up the month.

March opens up with the team heading south, visiting South Carolina to battle Wofford (March 9) and Furman (March 12) before heading back home to take on Central Michigan (March 17) at Cushing Field. Next up, the team takes on conference play, visiting UAlbany on March 21, before hosting Bryant on Saturday, March 28.

April is full of conference challenges for the River Hawks, starting with their visit to Binghamton on April 4.   The team then returns to the friendly confines of Cushing Field to host UMBC (April 11) before a midweek clash with Ivy League foe Dartmouth (April 14). Finally, the team takes the short bus ride north when they visit New Hampshire on April 18 before closing out the regular season at home against Vermont on Friday, April 25.

The top four teams will qualify for the 2026 America East playoffs, with the semifinals set for Friday, May 1. The championship match will follow on Sunday, May 3, with both rounds played at the regular-season champion.
