LOWELL, Mass. – Junior Emily Burdick (Billerica, Mass.) and freshman Brooke Nedeau of the UMass Lowell women's cross country team have earned America East weekly awards for their performances at this past weekend's CCSU Mini Meet, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Burdick was named America East Performer of the Week for her efforts in the varsity 3k, where she claimed 19th place with a time of 10:37.77 to lead the River Hawks. Nedeau was not far behind her, finishing in 22nd place with a 10:40.53 mark to earn herself Rookie of the Week honors. 

This is each of their first awards of the season.
