Taylor Burgess (Mendon, Mass.) was selected as America East Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Burgess received the start in net against the Terriers, playing the full 90 minutes. She made six saves on the evening, playing a huge role in shutting down host BU.
So far this season, Burgess has started both games she has appeared in with 12 saves for a .923 save percentage. She now totals 12 career shutouts.
This is Burgess' fourth America East Weekly honor of her career and third Defensive Player of the Week award.
