LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell Athletics is proud to announce it has partnered with Opendorse, the leading athlete marketplace and NIL company, to create an all-in-one Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) platform for River Hawk student-athletes.

Through the official UMass Lowell NIL Marketplace, brands, fans, sponsors and donors within River Hawk Nation and beyond can browse, book, pitch and pay any River Hawk student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the athletes' needs. The marketplace is aimed at mobilizing the River Hawk Nation fan base and local organizations to best support the UMass Lowell student-athlete experience.

"We are thrilled to partner with Opendorse to launch the UMass Lowell Marketplace for our student-athletes and empower them to leverage their Name, Image and Likeness with companies regionally and nationally," said Senior Associate Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships & Development Eric Allen. "Our student-athletes have always represented UMass Lowell at a high level on and off the playing surface, and for them to now be able to use this platform to capitalize on these tremendous opportunities and tell their own stories is something we are excited about and happy for what lies ahead for each of them."

Opendorse, which has partnered with over 100 college athletic departments, not only maximizes NIL opportunities for student-athletes, but also delivers security and simplicity for all involved parties. Student-athletes review opportunities, receive deals, accept compensation and disclose NIL activities to their institution, all within the Opendorse platform. Through the partnership, student-athletes can also receive in-person and on-demand virtual education sessions from industry leaders at companies including Meta, Overtime, Players' Tribune, Opendorse and more.

"NIL is a major part of today's student-athlete experience and UMass Lowell is answering the call," said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. "To maximize this opportunity, it's paramount that athletes and institutions have the right partner to help navigate the NIL landscape. I'm proud to bring our education and solutions to UMass Lowell and the River Hawks student-athletes."

The Opendorse-powered marketplace is built on a decade of athlete marketing technology and experience. The company has already facilitated hundreds of thousands of NIL deals and endorsements with athletes at every level of sports, and the marketplace is used by over 130,000 athletes to manage deals from pitch to payment.
