River Hawks Finish Hectic Weekend At Day Two of ECAC/IC4A Championships

FAIRFAX, Va. – The UMass Lowell men's and women's track and field teams had a small group of student-athletes compete on day two of the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Sunday, hosted by George Mason University. Multiple members of the squad competed in their last races as River Hawks. 

Three out of the four runners in the men's 200m dash ran their final collegiate races, as senior Sean Glass (Haverhill, Mass.) was the first to finish in 12th place with a time of 21.62. Senior Micahel Blake (Hudson, Mass.) finished just behind him in 14th place, earning a 21.72 mark in his last race. Senior Hunter Marino (Weymouth, Mass.) was next, finishing in 23rd place with a time of 22.06, while graduate student Joe Young (Shrewsbury, Mass.) finished off his career with a 22.16 mark in 25th place. 

In the women's 200m dash, junior Madison Marsh (Dudley, Mass.) picked up 24th place with a time of 25.28. Young, Glass and Blake also competed in the 4x100 relay earlier in the day, along with junior Adam Katerji (Shrewsbury, Mass.). The unit finished in fifth place overall, earning a time of 41.45. 

Junior Rachel Thomas (Perry Hall, Md.) competed in the 400m race for the women, finishing in 15th place and crossing the finish line in 58.78 seconds for her personal-best. Senior Chelsea Lynch entered the 400m hurdles, finishing in 22nd with a time of 1:05.76.
