LOWELL, Mass. – Coming off a 2-0 week, the UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (2-1) will head to North Easton to take on the Stonehill Skyhawks (0-1) Wednesday night before a battle with the Sacred Heart Pioneers (0-2) at home on Saturday afternoon.Â

LAST TIME OUT
UMass Lowell enters the week with a 2-1 record after taking down Holy Cross, 12-11, in their home opener. The leading scorer for the River Hawks was senior Izzy Liquori (Agawam, Mass.), who tallied three goals and two assists. With her second assist of the match, Liquori reached the 100-career point milestone, only the third River Hawk to reach the mark. Behind her, sophomore Jade Catlin (Middletown, Md.) totaled four points off two goals and two assists. Brockbank added three goals, while senior Grace Hansen (Stamford, Ct.) chipped in two goals and an assist. Senior defender Caroline Klim (Wrentham, Mass.) collected a game high five ground balls and caused four turnovers. In net, freshman Hannah Shaddock (Corning, N.Y.) made 10 saves in the win.

LEADING THE FLOCK
Catlin and Liquori each total 10 points, leading the River Hawks through three games. Shaw, Hansen, and Catlin have each tallied a team-best seven goals, while Liquori's five assists rank first on the squad. Senior defender Julia Napolitano (Oakdale, N.Y.) has a team-high eight caused turnovers. On the draw, junior Emerson Laundry's (Swampscott, Mass.) 13 draw control victories pace the team, with Napolitano behind her with nine on the season.
CHASING HISTORY
After tallying three goals on Sunday, Liquori now totals 81 career goals, good for second in program history. With two more goals, the senior will surpass Taylor Sokol and become the UMass Lowell all-time goal scorer.
SCOUTING STONEHILL
The Skyhawks enter Wednesday with an 0-1 record following a 20-9 loss to Boston University. Midfielder Lilly Leach led the offensive attack for Stonehill, scoring twice and adding two assists for a team-best four points while posting three draw control victories. Also making a significant contribution was Karly King, who collected four ground balls and caused one turnover. In net, Sarah Faley made eight saves while allowing 20 goals for a .286 save percentage.
SCOUTING SACRED HEART
Sacred Heart comes to town on a two-game losing streak, most recently falling to Quinnipiac, 16-11. The top scorer on the team, attack Emma Kittredge, has totaled seven goals on the season. Right behind her, Grace Reinold has found the back of the net six times, while Lydia Werlau chips in five goals to help boost the offense. Time in net has been split, with Lisa Martin seeing the most action, totaling 13 saves with a .333 save percentage in 97 minutes of playing time.

A WIN WOULD
A win would extend UMass Lowell's winning streak to three games and move the team to 3-1 on the season. If the River Hawks can claim victory in both battles, they would move to 4-1, marking the best start in program history.
