LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell has recently announced the hire of Nate Erickson, who will join the River Hawk staff as the Director of NCAA Compliance.
 
"It is a true joy to welcome Nate as our newest member of River Hawk Nation," said Kyle Medolo, the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. "He is an extremely talented and bright individual who will help lead us to new levels as a department. His creativity and experience will be immensely valuable as we take on the ever-changing landscape that is college athletics."
 
Before arriving at UMass Lowell, Erickson was a member of the compliance team at the University of Cincinnati. While there, he assisted with many responsibilities, including the tracking of student-athlete receipt of awards and benefits, as well as working on a handful of NCAA bylaws. Prior to his time in the compliance office, Erickson also worked in the University of Cincinnati Office of Equal Opportunity and Access where he participated in training exercises that focused on equal opportunity employment practices.
 
"I am incredibly excited to be here at UMass Lowell and can't wait to get started as a River Hawk," said Erickson.
 
Erickson is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati, and earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Ohio State in 2019.
