River Hawks Head North To Take On New Hampshire

LOWELL, Mass. – Coming off a loss in their first conference game of the season, the UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (2-7, 0-1 AE) will head north to take on the New Hampshire Wildcats (5-4, 0-0 AE) on Saturday afternoon.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Izzy Liquori (Agawam, Mass.) tallied her fourth hat trick of the year and an assist for a team high four points. Freshman Jade Catlin (Middletown, Md.) added in a goal and an assist for two points, while four other River Hawks recorded a goal.
 
LEADING THE FLOCK
Liquori has scored 18 goals leading the River Hawks through nine games. Redshirt freshman Emily Stratton's (Camillus, N.Y.) 14 goals and five assists put her second on the team with 19 points, while junior Molly Shaw (Marshfield, Mass.) is the only River Hawk with a point in all nine games. Junior Caroline Klim (Wrentham, Mass.) leads the defense with 14 caused turnovers and graduate student Alex Salim's (East Islip, N.Y.) 41 saves lead the team.
 
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire welcomes the River Hawks to town coming off a 18-11 loss against Iona College. The Wildcats are led offensively by midfielder Mackenzie MacEachern, who has a team high 18 goals and 24 points. Defensively, Meghan Doyle leads the team with 11 caused turnovers, while goalkeeper Issy Torres has tallied 45 saves with a 10.69 goals against average in 300 minutes of action.
 
A WIN WOULD
A win would give head coach Lisa Miller her career 200th win, as well as get the River Hawks to a .500 record in conference play.

MATCHUP HISTORY
The River Hawks and Wildcats have met six times, with the Wildcats winning five of the matchups. The last time out, UMass Lowell won its first matchup against New Hampshire with a 16-14 victory on March 27, 2021.
