River Hawk Wrap Up Road Trip Saturday at Quinnipiac

LOWELL, Mass. – Coming off a dominating victory, the UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (2-5, 0-0 AE) will finish their five-game road trip when they head down to Connecticut to take on Quinnipiac (3-2, 0-0 MAAC) on Saturday afternoon.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Izzy Liquori (Agawam, Mass.) led the team with four goals and 12 draw controls in a 25-3 victory over Wofford. Alongside Liquori, junior Grace Hansen (Stamford, Conn.), redshirt freshman Emily Stratton (Camillus, N.Y.), and freshmen Jade Catlin (Middletown, Md.) and Sophia Scialdone (Syracuse, N.Y.) all recorded a hat trick in the tilt. In net, graduate student Alex Salim (East Islip, N.Y.) allowed only three goals on 12 shots faced.
 
LEADING THE FLOCK
Junior Molly Shaw (Marshfield, Mass.) has scored 15 goals leading the River Hawks through seven games. Stratton's 13 goals and five assists give her a team high 18 points, while junior Caroline Klim (Wrentham, Mass.) leads the defense with 11 caused turnovers. Catlin's 34 draw control victories and graduate student Alex Salim's (East Islip, N.Y.) 36 saves both lead the team.
 
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac welcomes the River Hawks coming off a 19-12 loss to Bryant University. The Bobcats are led offensively by attack Desiree Kleberg, who has tallied a team-high ten goals and is second on the team with four assists. In net, Kat Henselder has totaled 49 saves with a .495 save percentage in over 260 minutes of playing time.  
 
A WIN WOULD
A win would give the River Hawks a 2-3 record over their five-game road trip, as well as give head coach Lisa Miller her 200th career win.
 
MATCHUP HISTORY
The River Hawks and Bobcats have matched up three times, with the Bobcats winning two of the matchups. The last time out, UMass Lowell bested Quinnipiac, 9-5, in a matchup during the 2017.
