LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's and men's basketball home openers scheduled for Saturday at Costello Athletic Center have been postponed.
 
The women's matchup against Merrimack has been postponed following the initiation of the Warriors' COVID-19 protocols.
 
On the men's side, the game against Bryant has been postponed out of an abundance of caution after learning of a COVID positive member of the NC State Wolfpack, against whom UMass Lowell played on December 3. However, all members of the River Hawk travel party have subsequently received negative test results.
 
Next up on the women's side is a road matchup at ACC opponent Boston College tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 6. The men's team is set to make the short trip to Northeastern for a non-conference contest on Dec. 9 on NESN.
