LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (3-8, 0-2 AE) has two opportunities to earn its first America East win this week, welcoming New Hampshire on April 3 and traveling to Binghamton on April 6.
Last Time Out
The River Hawks struggled in the first half against Stony Brook but came out strong after that, allowing just four goals in the second. With 12 different Stony Brook players scoring in the game, though, the Seawolves went away with a 20-3 victory on Saturday.
Paige MacEachern (Lynnfield, Mass.),
Kristina Keith (East Kingston, N.H.) and
Samantha Blair (West Islip, N.Y.) scored the River Hawks' goals. MacEachern and Keith have now scored goals in all but one game this season.

Scouting New Hampshire
At 2-0 in conference action, New Hampshire (7-3 overall) is tied in the top tier of America East. The Wildcats sit just ahead of UMass Lowell in the conference in goals, points and shots per game and are paced by Rylee Leonard and Devan Miller, both with 22 goals. Catherine Sexton has 20 goals on just 28 shots this season. Goalkeeper Issy Torres has a 10.82 GAA and .446 save percentage.

Scouting Binghamton
Binghamton is 0-11 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. The Bearcats fell to UAlbany 19-8 and lost to New Hampshire by a 12-10 margin. Rebecca Golderman leads the way with 16 goals, while Paige Volkmann is top in assists with eight. Goalkeeper Taylor Passuello owns a 14.12 GAA and .452 save percentage, which ranks fourth in the conference.
Series History
The River Hawks are 0-4 all-time against Binghamton, most recently falling 12-9 in 2018. MacEachern and
Cameron McKelvin (Westminster, Md.) each tallied two goals in that game, and the River Hawks scored the final four goals of the game, but it wasn't enough as the Bearcats went home with the win.

Early on in conference action, UAlbany, New Hampshire and Stony Brook sit at the top with 2-0 records in America East, while the River Hawks sit at sixth. MacEachern and McKelvin are both in the top 10 in the conference in points per game, while Keith is fourth in shots per game and

Hana Caster (North Attleboro, Mass.) is second America East in caused turnovers per game with 1.73.

Controlling the Draw
The River Hawks lead the conference in draw controls with 135 on the season.
Kelly Moran (Exeter, N.H.) and Caster are third and fourth in America East in draw controls with 5.09 and 4.27 per game, respectively. Moran is in the top 50 in the country in draw controls per game, as well.

McKelvin Heating Up
McKelvin notched points for 13 straight games dating back to last season, tallying 37 points and nine multipoint games in that span. She matched UMass Lowell's longest point streak, held by Finelli, who scored 48 points through 13 games in 2018.

Weekly Awards
Caster was named America East Defensive Player of the Week on March 11 after notching seven draw controls, six ground balls and eight caused turnovers through two games.
Renee Gonzalez (Long Valley, N.J.) took home weekly defensive honors on March 4, while Keith earned AE Offensive Player of the Week after a program-record, seven-goal game.
Win Streak
UMass Lowell notched a three-game win streak from Feb. 27 through March 5, with victories against Holy Cross, Iona and Merrimack. That was the longest win streak since the River Hawks won six straight in March of 2017.
Goals on Goals
The River Hawks scored 34 goals in the first three games of 2019, which was the most goals they've scored through the first three games of the season in program history. They now have 112 on the season (10.2 per game). Ten different River Hawks have scored goals this season, while 12 have tallied at least one point.
Record-Breaker
Keith tallied seven goals against Holy Cross, a new program record. She now has 24 on the season (third on the team) and is in second place all-time in goals at UMass Lowell.

Gonzalez In Goal
Renee Gonzalez allowed just five goals against Holy Cross, and then eight against Iona, her two lowest goals allowed totals on the season. She had a season-high 13 saves against Iona and UAlbany and now has a 13.00 GAA in 2019.
M&M
MacEachern and McKelvin have been offensive powerhouses this season. McKelvin had five goals at Fresno State, while MacEachern had six goals against Boston University a week later. MacEachern surpassed her 2018 goal total in just the first three games in 2019 and now has 26 goals on the season, which leads the team. McKelvin has scored 24 goals on just 37 shots for a team-high .649 shot percentage (third in the nation). Both McKelvin and MacEachern are now on the top-10 all-time goals list at UMass Lowell.
Solo Scoring
UMass Lowell has scored 52 unassisted goals this season, 14 of those coming from MacEachern.
Under Pressure
The River Hawks had a season-high 11 caused turnovers at Boston University, three of them fromÂ
Gabby Torain (Glen Burnie, Md.). Through four games, Torain exceeded her caused turnover total from last year and now has 13. Caster leads the way with 19.
Milestone Watch
Moran tallied four draw controls against Colgate, tallying her 100
th career draw control in the process. She is already at the top of the record books in all-time draw controls with 133. Caster moved into second place all-time in draw controls at Wagner, now with 96. At Boston University, Finelli hit the 100-point mark and is now first all-time in scoring with 112 points. With four more goals, MacEachern can move into third all-time in goals.
