BOSTON, Mass. — The America East has announced that 146 student- athletes from UMass Lowell have been named to the conference's Fall Honor Roll for the 2018 academic year.
Of the 146 honorees, 56 received Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition for their hard work and dedication in the classroom.
"The academic success of our student- athletes' continues to be a point of pride for our student- athletes, coaches, and staff," said Alison Quandt Westgate, Associate Athletic Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Services. "These numbers reflect that commitment and our efforts to support them in all facets of their lives."
To be eligible for the America East Honor Roll, student- athletes must obtain a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher. To be named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must complete the semester with a minimum of a 3.50 GPA.
Women's cross country set the tone for the River Hawks as 19 members of the team received Honor Roll recognition. Men's cross country saw 71 percent (25-of-35) of their team awarded Honor Roll status.
