LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (4-11, 1-5) held Binghamton (7-8, 4-2) to just one goal in the second half, but were unable to complete the comeback, falling 12-9 on Senior Night at Wicked Blue Field on Saturday night.
Courtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) tied a season high in saves with 15 in the loss.
"We had one of the best 30 minute stretches I've seen this club have all season, which was great," commented Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Carissa Medeiros. "Our second half defensively was, probably, the biggest, toughest, full on 30 minutes we've had. We had a rough patch in the first half that forced us to climb out of a bit of a hole and we just lost time to climb out of it."
