LOWELL, Mass. --

LAST TIME OUT
The River Hawks went 0-2 in their opening week matchups against Boston University and California.

Junior keeper Renee Gonzalez (Long Valley, N.J.) made her first career start in net, stopping a career-high 14 shots.

California (2.25) came out victorious, 9-5, on what proved to be a wet and cold contest at Wicked Blue Field. Finelli against led the team with four points from three assists and a goal. Sokol added two goals to the cause, while junior Rebecca Idson (East Atlantic Beach, N.Y.) tallied her first goal of the season. Gonzalez and senior keeper Courtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.), seeing her first action of the season, teamed up to stop nine shots against the Golden Bears.

SCOUTING COLGATE

Between the posts, Samantha Croston has played every minute of Colgate's contests, picking up 30 saves for a .517 save percentage and carries a 9.33 goals-against average.

SERIES HISTORY

FINELLI FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS
Kendyl Finelli has set a program high for the most points through the first two games of the season with eight thanks to two separate four-point performances. The previous high was held by teammate Jane Dudley (Duxbury, Mass.) who amassed six points in the first two games last season.

BARRETT RETURNS, INCHES TOWARDS MILESTONE
The four-year captain between the posts returned to action against California (2.25), stopping five shots in the final 30 minutes of play.
