SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters the weekend with a 4-9 overall record, after a loss in the America East opener on Friday to New Hampshire (3-2) and a victory against Coppin State (3-1) on Saturday night. Claybaugh led the team with 32 kills (3.56 kps), to go along with 25 digs (2.78 dps) in three matches.Â
Claybaugh leads the team with 133 kills and 3.09 kills per set, while classmate
Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) is also over the 100-mark at 103 total kills (2.64 kps). Junior co-captain
Erica Cappellino's (Penfield, N.Y.) 16 service aces also lead the team. Cappellino has notched multiple aces in five matches this season for the River Hawks.Â
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:Â Bryant owns a 11-7 overall record in 18 matches this season, but are 0-3 away from home this season. The Bulldogs have won four consecutive matches coming into Tuesday's matchup, which includes three matches last week against Providence (3-0), St. Francis Brooklyn (3-0) and LIU-Brooklyn (3-1). Julia Flynn leads the Bulldogs with 167 kills and 3.09 kills per set.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS: Binghamton owns a 3-11 overall record (0-1 AE), after losing to UAlbany in their America East opener on Friday by a 3-1 score. Gabby Alicea led the Bearcats with 13 kills, while Sarah Ngo totaled 40 assists and Samantha Gioiosa amassed 22 digs in the losing effort. Alicea leads Binghamton with 185 kills and 3.49 kills per set on the season. Gioiosa has been strong on defense for the Bearcats with 221 total digs.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES:Â UAlbany owns a 1-12 overall record on the season, after defeating Binghamton (3-1) in the conference opener last Friday night. The Great Danes own a 1-3 record in four home matches so far this season. Chloe Evering led Albany with 12 kills, while Kelly Cameron notches 30 assists. Gabrielle Hansen, Nina Holmes and Nicole Otero all posted 14 digs apiece in the victory. Akuabata Okenwa leads the Great Danes with 139 kills on the season.
LAST TIME OUT: The River Hawks earned their first home victory of the season with a 3-1 win against Coppin State at Costello Athletic Center on Saturday night.
Katherine Claybaugh recorded a match-high 17 kills in the victory for the River Hawks. while
Lindsey Visvardis totaled 15 digs.Â
