LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell field hockey team is set for its final two road trips of the regular season this weekend, making the trek to Maine on Friday, October 20 for a 3 p.m. tilt before visiting New Hampshire on Sunday October 22 for a 1 p.m. matchup.

River Hawk Rewind
UMass Lowell owns an 8-8 overall record so far in 2017, including a 2-3 mark in America East action, after splitting a pair of games last week. The team first picked up a 4-2 win on the road at Vermont on Oct. 13 before facing a 4-2 setback against No. 20 UAlbany on Oct. 15. The River Hawks bounced back, though, with a 2-1 victory in their final non-conference game of the season against Sacred Heart on Oct. 8. Freshman

Scouting Maine
The Black Bears are 9-4 overall, and 3-1 in America East games, heading into this weekend's action. The team went earned a win in its lone outing last week, defeating New Hampshire, 4-3, on Oct. 13. Brianna Ricker is pacing the offense with 10 goals and 23 total points, while Libby Riedl and Samantha Wagg follow closely with 22 and 21 points, respectively. Riedl has registered a team-high 10 assists so far, as well. Goalkeeper Emma Cochran, who owns a 1.68 goals against average, has made 35 stops for a .625 save percentage.

Scouting New Hampshire
The Wildcats sit at 5-10 this season with a 2-3 mark in America East play. UNH is looking to snap a four-game skid after most recently falling to Vermont, 1-0, on Oct. 15 and Dartmouth, 4-3, on Oct. 18. Katie Audino is leading the Wildcats with seven goals and 17 total points. Bloem van den Brekel, who adds 16 points, is first on the team in assists with six. Goalkeeper Kelsey Rudert boasts 58 saves and .604 save percentage.

Series History
The River Hawks fell in overtime against both Maine and New Hampshire earlier this season. Maine owns an 11-1-1 edge in the all-time series against UMass Lowell, while UNH leads, 6-1.

The River Hawks are currently tied for third in the East Division standings. The team is also ranked second overall in the league for shots (223), in addition to leading the America East with 120 saves and 99 corners so far. Individually,
Torrie Huk is third in the America East for shots (53), and

Three Cheers
The River Hawks picked up three consecutive overtime wins for the first time in program history from Sept. 1-8. All of the decisions ended in a 2-1 score, as the team defeated both Miami (Ohio) and Ball State in a single extra period before outlasting Georgetown in a hard-fought outing that went to a sudden-death shootout. The Georgetown match marked the first time the River Hawks have gone to a shootout since 2011.

Over and Over and Over Again
UMass Lowell has now battled its opponents into overtime during six games in 2017, coming out on top in four of those contests. This marks the most overtime games in a season since 1990.

Weekly Awards
Eva Berkhout was named America East Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this year and the fourth time in her career on Oct. 10 after turning away 13 of the 15 shots she faced in a 1-1 week for the River Hawks. She had also previously received the honor on Oct. 3 and Sept. 7.
Torrie Huk garnered River Hawk of the Week honors on Sept. 7 with two game-winning overtime goals.
Anouk Lalande was named Offensive Player of the Week and River Hawk of the Week on Aug. 29 after leading the league with seven points in two games.
