LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team fell in straight sets to host Illinois-Chicago on Saturday morning in the final match of the UIC Invitational at the Flames Athletic Center. The set scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-8.
UMass Lowell now drops to 5-9 on the season overall, while the Flames improve to 11-1 overall.

Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) had a team-high nine digs.
Visvardis was the lone River Hawk named to the UIC Invitational All-Tournament Team for her efforts, which included 35 digs in three matches (10 sets) over the weekend.
The team notched a team-high 10 kills and .188 hitting percentage in the opening set.
The River Hawks return to action on Saturday, September 24th for their America East Conference opener against Hartford. Match time is 7 p.m. at Costello Athletic Center on Team IMPACT Night.
