DURHAM, N.H. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team fell in straight sets at New Hampshire on Friday night at Lundholm Gymnasium in America East play. The set scores were 14-25, 16-25 and 21-25.Â
The River Hawks fall to 6-19 overall (1-9 AE), while UNH improves to 16-10 overall and 7-2 in league play.Â
Sophomore middle blocker
Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) and freshman outside hitter
Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) each tallied a team-high nine kills in the losing effort for the River Hawks. Adeniyi hit at a team-best .429 clip, while freshman outside hitter
Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) totaled six kills and eight digs.Â
Senior setter
Alexa Toth (Portland, Ore.) managed 19 assists running the River Hawk offense, while sophomore liberoÂ
Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) registered 15 digs in another strong defensive effort. Senior middle blocker
Lauren Bennett (Wilmington, Mass.) also had a solid match on defense with six total blocks.Â
The River Hawks tallied 11 kills in the second and third frames in the match and their .152 hitting percentage in the middle frame with a match-high.
UMass Lowell returns to action on Sunday, November 6th against Sacred Heart on Senior Day. Match time is 3 p.m. from Costello Athletic Center. The River Hawks will honor their four-member senior class in a pre-game ceremony against the Pioneers.Â
