The popular hip hop and R&B station, JAM'N 94.5, will join forces with metroPCS to present their Halftime Hook Up promotion on Wednesday evening at the UMass Lowell basketball doubleheader against Stonehill. Tip-off at Costello Athletic Center is set for 5:30 for the women and 7:30 for the men's game.    
    The UMass Lowell men (16-5, 12-5 in the NE-10) are in the midst of a seven-game winning streak and sit in a tie for second place in the latest NE-10 standings. Stonehill (14-7, 11-6 NE-10), which scored a 72-59 win over UMass Lowell on Nov. 30, is currently in fourth place.
    Fresh off a 60-48 victory at Southern New Hampshire Saturday, the UMass Lowell women (8-14, 6-11 NE-10) look to carry the momentum into Wednesday's game against Stonehill (11-10, 7-10 NE-10), which it defeated on Nov. 30, 76-72.
    JAM'N 94.5 will provide a DJ while the JAM'N 94.5 Street Team and metroPCS will dish out free t-shirts and other giveaways throughout the game for all fans.
    JAM'N 94.5 will select four contestants to compete in the metroPCS Halftime Hook Up. The four participants will show their skills in a half-time free throw contest to see who can make the most free throws in 30 seconds. The champion will have the opportunity to win $1,000 if he/she can successfully make a lay-up, a free throw, a three-point field goal and a half-court shot in 24 seconds or less.
    Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for children and admission is free for UMass Lowell students with ID. Wednesday's double-header marks Game #2 in the MISSION: ALL IN Challenge on campus. Students can earn 15 points toward the competition by signing in at the ticket table in the lobby.

    The first 100 students in attendance will also receive a free cookie from Subway on South Campus, courtesy of Aramark Dining Services.
