Freshman G Jane Hatzikonstantis (Tewksbury, Mass.) posted her third clean sheet and extended her shutout streak to 290 minutes as UMass Lowell and Stonehill College played to a 0-0 deadlock in a Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer clash Wednesday afternoon in Easton, Mass.

With the draw, UMass Lowell stands at 2-1-2 overall and 1-0-2 in the NE-10 and hosts Adelphi Saturday at 1:00. Stonehill is currently 4-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the NE-10.

Hatzikonstantis stopped two shots, both in the second period.

Shots were even overall, 12-12, but UMass Lowell had a 5-2 edge on target and a 5-3 edge on corner kicks.

"It was a midfield battle most of the time," said head coach Elie Monteiro. "Stonehill defended very well on their home field. They are going to be very difficult to beat on that field.

"I felt we could've done a better job being more patient in the attacking third of the field," he added. "We've got some work to do going into Saturday's game."
