Incoming baseball player Geoff DeGroot, from Wesley Chapel High School, was named to the All-Suncoast First Team on Saturday by the St. Petersburg Times. To read the article, click here.

DeGroot, a four-year varsity shortstop, batted .482 as a senior while scoring 33 runs.

He was also a Times' All-North Suncoast First Team selection last season after batting .397 with 24 runs and 10 RBIs as a junior.
