Wednesday's UMass Lowell baseball game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. at Post University, has been cancelled due to rain. There will be no makeup date.

The River Hawks are coming off of a 2-0 victory over Merrimack College on Tuesday night. Starter Jack Leathersich (Rowley, Mass.) fanned a career-high 15 batters-three shy of the program's single game record.

With the season winding down, the River Hawks are soaring with an overall record of 34-8 and 17-6 in NE-10 play. UMass Lowell controls its own destiny, capable of winning the NE-10 Regular Season Championship if it sweeps the three remaining conference games. The River Hawks return to action on Thursday, traveling to Merrimack for a 3 p.m. start.
