The UMass Lowell women's and men's track and field teams enter the Northeast-10 Conference Championship this afternoon at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletics Center in Boston.

The UMass Lowell women - who have won six NE-10 indoor titles, including the last two - look to defend their 2010 championship while the men look for their first title since 2002. Southern Connecticut has won the men's team title each year since.

The Championship begins at 4:00 with field events, beginning with the long jump, while the track events begin at 4:30 with the 55 meter hurdle trials. The final event of the evening is the 4X800 meter relay, slated for 9:10 p.m.

UMass Lowell returns to action Friday and Saturday at the New England Championship at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
