The UMass Lowell women's basketball team, fresh off a 93-69 setback Thursday to C.W. Post, faces the University of the District of Columbia today at 3:00 in the second round of the C.W. Post Winter Classic at the Pratt Recreation Center.

Junior G Bianca Simmons led UMass Lowell with 16 points and four steals while junior F Brianna Wilson and junior G Erika Sjoberg each added 13 points.

The River Hawks (4-6 overall) meet a UDC team (8-2) which suffered an 82-48 loss to franklin Pierce Thursday.

UMass Lowell returns to Northeast-10 action Tuesday when it hosts American International College at 5:30 and travels to Southern Connecticut next Saturday for a 1:30 tip-off.
