UMass Lowell hockey looks to extend its three-game winning streak as it visits New Hampshire in the Whittemore Center on Friday, before returning home to host Massachusetts on Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. each night.

The River Hawks (5-3-0, 3-2-0) are the reigning Hockey East Team of the Week after the program's first weekend sweep of the Black Bears in Orono, ME since Feb. 8-9, 1985. UMass Lowell triumphed on Friday, 5-3, and pulled off a come-from-behind win on Saturday, 4-3.

Leading the charge was captain Riley Wetmore (Swanton, Vt.)with three goals, including two tallies in less three minutes to spark the River Hawks comeback on Saturday. Wetmore now has a team-leading six goals on the year.

Also a key figure, Scott Wilson (Oakville, Ont.)earned his second consecutive Hockey East Rookie of the Week honor for a three-point weekend in Orono. The freshman forward scored two goals, both highlight reel worthy, and added an assist. His tally on Friday night proved to be the game-winner. Wilson leads all River Hawk rookies with nine points (4g, 5a).

For the year, senior Matt Ferreira (Brampton, Ont.)leads all UMass Lowell scorers with 10 points on five goals and five assists. Ferreira is tied for the Hockey East lead with two game-winning goals.

The Wildcats (4-4-2, 3-3-1) have recovered from their slow start and are undefeated in the last six games (4-0-2). Last weekend, New Hampshire skated to a 4-4 tie with Vermont thanks to a three-point (1g, 2a) showing from Stevie Moses (Leominster, Mass.). Moses ranks second on the team with 11 points on four goals and seven assists.

The Minutemen (4-4-2, 2-4-2) are also riding a hot streak with wins in their last three contests, including a pair of victories over Holy Cross (7-2) and Northeastern (4-2) last weekend. Senior T.J. Syner (Springfield, Mass.) leads Massachusetts with 15 points (5g, 10a) and is riding a six-game point streak (4g, 4a).
