Watch NE-10/CACC Chalenge Live | UMass Lowell Men at Bridgeport Live Stats

Both the UMass Lowell women's and men's basketball teams open the season this afternoon, the women hosting the Northeast-10/Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Challenge today and Sunday; and the men at the University of Bridgeport Classic.

The NE-10/CACC Challenge pits a pair of nationwide Division II powers Bentley University (28-5 in 2010-11), selected to win the NE-10 this year and No. 2 in the WBCA preseason poll, against No. 19 Holy Family University (24-5) in the 1:00 game. UMass Lowell (9-18) hosts Felician College (18-9) at 3:00.

On Sunday, the field is reveresed as Bentley meets Felcian at 1:00 while UMass Lowell hosts Holy Family at 3:00.

On the men's side, UMass Lowell visits the Univeristy of Bridgeport (19-9), the East Coast Conference regular season champion, this afternoon at 2:00 and meets Post University (17-11) Sunday at 2:00.

The River Hawks (20-10 last year) are fresh off a 76-75 loss at Providence College last Saturday and were selected No. 1 in the NE-10 men's preseason poll.
