UMass Lowell hockey returns to the Northeast on Tuesday night to play Connecticut at the Conway Arena in Nashua, NH at 7 p.m.

Off the their best start in a decade, the River Hawks are 2-0-0 and received 12 votes in the USCHO.com/ CBS College Sports Poll. UMass Lowell swept Minnesota State in Mankato, MN by scores of 4-2 and 4-1 to open the season.

The Huskies are also enjoying a strong start to the campaign, sitting at 1-1-1 after a split at Bowling Green and running up a 5-0 victory against Army.

Among the strong performances for the River Hawks, junior captain Riley Wetmore (Swanton, Vt.) has a team-best four points on two goals and two assists. UMass Lowell features a balanced scoring attack as four other players recorded three-point weekends: Derek Arnold (Foxboro, Mass.), Matt Ferreira (Brampton, Ont.), Chad Ruhwedel (San Diego, Calif.) and Terrence Wallin (Yardley, Penn.).

For his efforts, Wallin was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday for his goal and two assists during Friday's 4-2 victory.

Connecticut's Garrett Bartus (St. Charles, Ill.) was named Atlantic Hockey's Goaltender of the Week on Monday after stopping all 47 shots by the Black Knights.

In the scoring department, the Huskies look to Brant Harris (Esteven, Sask.) who has four goals and six points through three games.

After tonight's contest, UMass Lowell enjoys an extended break before hosting Boston College on Oct. 28 in the Tsongas Center at 7 p.m.
