The River Hawk volleyball team (6-4) soars onto the Dowling College campus on Saturday afternoon for a clash with the undefeated Golden Lions (9-0) at 1 p.m. Following a big out of conference victory at NYIT last night, 3-2, UMass Lowell will look to avenge its loss to Dowling from exactly one week ago.

To upset the Golden Lions, the River Hawks will lean heavily on senior Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, Mass.). Coscia is in the midst of an outstanding campaign, leading the team in kills (154), kills per game (3.76), aces (17) and is tied for the lead in blocks (30).

Additionally, UMass Lowell needs junior Lea Freeman (Methuen, Mass.) to be a disruptive force at the net. Sharing the team lead for blocks with Coscia, Freeman has been on fire lately, totaling 10 blocks in the past two matches.

Heading into today's contest, Dowling has yet to lose a set--winning every match by a score of 3-0. They are led offensively by Patrycja Klekotka (Siedlce, Poland) who has 87 kills (3.62 kpg) with a .435 hitting percentage.

Following Saturday's match, the River Hawks get to play a little closer to home as they travel to longtime rival Merrimack on Tuesday. UMass Lowell will arrive in North Andover for a 7 p.m. start against the Warriors.
