Women's Standings | Men's Standings
The UMass Lowell women's and men's cross country and track and field teams, which enjoyed magnificent seasons in 2009-10, were pitted eighth and 10th, respectively, in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Program of the Year standings.
The UMass Lowell women compiled 72 points while the men garnered 65.5 points in the poll, which is based upon each school's finish at the NCAA Championship for all three seasons.
Grand Valley State, which finished second at both the NCAA cross country and indoor track and field championships, and third at the outdoor championship, was named the women's program of the year with 7.5 points. Adams State, which won both the cross country and indoor titles and placed fourth at the outdoor championship with 6.0 points, was named the men's program of the year.
UMass Lowell was the sole Northeast-10 Conference or East Region college to feature in the women's standings. The Stonehill College men's team placed 12th in the men's standings.
The UMass Lowell women qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championship for the seventh straight year as they finished 23rd overall.
