The Second Annual UMass Lowell Men’s Basketball Golf Tournament, held on Monday, May 17 at Meadow Creek Golf Club in Dracut, was a fun day of golf, food, friends and River Hawk pride.

“I cannot thank everyone enough for coming to the golf tournament and showing their support,” said Head Coach Greg Herenda. “I also want to thank our sponsors for stepping up and making the outing a tremendous success.”

The tournament welcomed many golfers in alums, sponsors, friends, family and members of the River Hawk community and many others joined for a post-round luncheon at the course.

“It was a great day for our 6th Man Club members, fans and friends. The attendance was wonderful, the weather was perfect and I think everyone had a ton of fun,” Herenda said. “This was our second outing and I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year.”

Looking ahead to next year, everyone can mark their calendars for Friday, May 20, 2011, when the Third Annual UMass Lowell Basketball Golf Tournament will take place at Meadow Creek.
