Local youth and high school softball players will have the opportunity to meet and greet some of their favorite college athletes, as the UMass Lowell River Hawks will host a “Meet the Team” session after their Northeast-10 doubleheader against Pace University on Saturday, May 1.

The doubleheader begins at 1:00 p.m. and offers free admission for fans. Local teams and softball fans are encouraged to join the fun in the River Hawks’ second-to-last regular season home games of the 2010 season.

In between the two games, some of the youth and high school players will also be selected to participate in contests and have the opportunity to win prizes.
