Senior OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, Calif.) compiled 15 kills and seven digs as UMass Lowell defeated Assumption College, 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-22) Friday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball match at Laska Gymnasium.

The victory was the third straight for the River Hawks and sixth in their last seven matches entering Saturday's regular season finale at home against American International College (1:00).

Assumption suffered its sixth straight loss and slipped to 9-23 overall and 0-14 in the Conference.

Hadder hit .393 (15 kills, four errors, 28 attacks) while senior MH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, Mass.) added eight kills and four blocks. Senior OH Vicky Wong (Tewksbury, Mass.) chipped in six kills and five digs.

Sophomore setter Kristina Wiltjer (San Diego, Calif.) dished out 28 assists in addition to eight digs while freshman libero Carolyn Eddy (Dracut, Mass.) led the defense with a match-high 17 digs.

Senior OH Aimee Drainville led Assumption with five kills while freshman setter Kristin Flatekval added 18 assists and 10 digs.

Following Saturday's match, the River Hawks open first round play in the NE-10 Tournament Tuesday, Nov. 9 at a site and time to be determined.
