Senior OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, Calif.) registered 11 kills and eight digs while hitting .400 to lead UMass Lowell over Post University, 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-18), Tuesday night in a non-conference volleyball match at the Drubner Center.

 

The victory was the second straight and fifth in its last six matches for UMass Lowell, which improved to 14-10. The River Hawks visit Assumption Friday night (7:00) and cap the regular season Saturday afternoon at home against American International College (1:00).

The loss was the fourth straight for Post, which slipped to 7-11.

Hadder committed one hitting error in 25 attempts, and led UMass Lowell to a .216 hitting percentage opposed to Post's .012. The River Hawks also compiled 10 service aces - led by six from sophomore setter Kristina Wiltjer (San Diego, Calif.) - to Post's three.

Wiltjer also dished 13 assists and had five digs while senior MH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, Mass.) and junior Lea Freeman (Methuen, Mass.) chipped in five kills apiece.

Junior MH Elizabeth Knight led the Eagles with six kills, three digs and a block while senior OH Teresa Hodges had 15 assists.
