UMass Lowell meets Bloomfield College this afternoon at 3:30 in the second round of the American International College Tipoff Classic at Butova Gymnasium in Springfield.

Both the River Hawks and Deacons are looking for their first win this afternoon as UMass Lowell suffered a 56-55 loss to East Coast Conference preseason favorite C.W. Post on a pair of free throws with five seconds left.

Despite the loss, sophomore G Bianca Simmons came off the bench to score 24 points while sophomore F Brianna Wilson chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes.

Bloomfield suffered a 56-50 loss to the host Yellow Jackets, who meet C.W. Post today at 1:30.

UMass Lowell opens Northeast-10 Conference play Wednesday night at home against Saint Michael's (5:30).
