LOWELL – Sophomore OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) and sophomore Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) each posted 12 kills as UMass Lowell defeated Saint Anselm, 3-0, Tuesday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball match at the Costello Athletic Center. Game scores were 25-16, 25-17, 25-16. The win was the third straight for the River Hawks, who improved to 10-13 overall and 5-5 in the NE-10 entering Friday’s clash against Adelphi (6:00) and Saturday’s against Bowie State (10:00) and East Stroudsburg (1:00) at the ESU Tournament. Saint Anselm slipped to 2-14 overall and 0-10 in the Conference and hosts Assumption Saturday at 11:00. Coscia also added three blocks while Hadder chipped in four digs. Junior OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CO) added nine kills, six digs and four blocks while junior S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 36 assists. Freshman OH Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, MA) led Saint Anselm with nine kills and seven digs while sophomore L Kelly Rudolph (Winter Park, FL) added 13 digs and three service aces.
