RINDGE, NH - Junior Caitlynn Parnell registered 12 kills while senior OH Nicole Buchholz added 11 as Franklin Pierce defeated UMass Lowell, 3-0 (25-9, 25-22, 25-21), Tuesday night in a non-conference volleyball clash at the FPU Fieldhouse.

The loss was the third straight for the River Hawks, who slipped to 4-7 overall entering Friday night's home match against Queens College (7:00). Franklin Pierce improved to 7-8.

Sophomore Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) led the River Hawks with eight kills and two blocks while sophomore MH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) added seven kills.

Junior S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) chipped in 15 assists and six digs.
