PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Sophomore MH Sianna Johnson had nine kills while senior OH Danielle Furka added eight kills and 15 digs as Pace University defeated UMass Lowell, 3-1, Friday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball clash at the Goldstein Fitness Center. With the loss, the River Hawks slipped to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the NE-10 entering Saturday’s clash at Southern Connecticut (12:00). The Setters improved to 7-3 overall and 1-0 in the Conference. Sophomore MH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) led the River Hawks with 16 kills while junior OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CO) added 12 kills, eight digs and three blocks. Senior OH Kendra Ciccone (Quincy, MA) and sophomore DS Vicky Wong (Tewksbury, MA) each led the defense with 18 digs while junior S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 31 assists. Sophomore MB Victoria Pompilus chipped in eight digs for Pace while freshman S Shea Hansen compiled 31 assists.
