LOWELL, MA – Sophomore OH Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) compiled 20 kills, seven digs and four aces as UMass Lowell defeated Stonehill College, 3-1, Wednesday night in a Northeast-10 Conference volleyball clash at the Costello Athletic Center. Game scores were 20-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 30-28. With the victory, UMass Lowell improved to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the NE-10 entering Friday’s match at Pace (7:00) and Saturday’s at Southern Connecticut (12:00). Stonehill slipped to 8-4 overall and 0-1 in the Conference entering Friday’s home match at Saint Rose (7:00). Sophomore MH Sarah Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) added nine kills and six blocks while junior S Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) dished out 32 assists. Junior OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CO) compiled six kills, seven blocks and eight digs while junior DS Allie Eide (Gresham, OR) led the defense with 12 digs. Freshman OH Michelle Thornhill (Canyon Lake, CA) led the Skyhawks with 13 kills and seven digs while senior OH Katherine Masson (Acushnet, MA) added 12 kills and five service aces. Sophomore S Andrea Wirth (Mesa, AZ) had 22 assists while freshman S Colleen Burt (Pensacola, FL) dealt 14.
