LOWELL, MA - Freshman Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) earned second team honors while sophomore OH Elsa LeGrand (Highlands Ranch, CA) was named to the third team as the Northeast-10 All-Conference Volleyball Team was announced Saturday.

The honor marked the second straight year for LeGrand, who was named to the second team in 2006, while Hadder enjoyed her first appearance on the teams.

The River Hawks capped the season with a 12-22 record, including a 7-7 clip the NE-10, good for sixth place.

Hadder emerged as UML's top offensive threat this season with averages of 3.38 kills and 2.85 digs per game and went on to earn NE-10 Freshman of the Week honors three times. She produced season-highs of 30 kills and six blocks in a 3-1 win over New York Institute of Technology on Oct. 20; and 22 digs in a 3-1 loss to Merrimack on Oct. 26.

Hadder was named to the NE-10 Volleyball All-Tournament Team Saturday as she compiled 13 kills and 16 digs in UML's 3-0 loss to Merrimack in the first round.

LeGrand compiled averages of 2.88 kills, 1.72 digs and a team-high 1.01 blocks per game this season. She enjoyed season-highs of 23 kills in a 3-1 win over Le Moyne on Sept. 15; 22 digs and eight blocks in a 3-2 loss to Adelphi on Sept. 16.

Hadder and LeGrand are two of 11 players returning next season for UML.
