LOWELL, MA - UMass Lowell sophomore Nichole Rondeau (Dracut, MA) and freshman Jillian Hadder (Yucaipa, CA) were each among Northeast-10 Conference weekly award winners, the Conference announced Monday.
Rondeau was named the NE-10 Setter of the Week while Hadder was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week as they led the River Hawks to a 3-0 victory over Saint Anselm and a 3-2 thriller over New York Institute of Technology.
Rondeau posted averages of 12.57 assists and 2.00 digs per game, highlighted by her career-high 65 in the win over NYIT. She also dished out 23 assists in the sweep over Saint Anselm.
Hadder, who has earned Freshman of the Week honors three times this season - including two of the last three weeks - compiled averages of 5.29 kills, 2.29 digs and 0.86 blocks per game while hitting .441. She chipped in seven kills and three digs in the win over Saint Anselm, and followed with a season-high 30 kills, along with 13 digs and six blocks, while hitting .471 in the triumph over NYIT.
